One of the best plans for Villefranche-sur-Mer is no plan. Getting lost among the winding streets of Old Town while marveling at the surrounding pastel pinks, yellows and oranges will feel like walking into a painting. Stop into a patisserie for a coffee and flaky French pastry. There are also many charming boutiques and art galleries to explore as you stroll through town. And of course, since this is a Mediterranean town, you can get your seafood fix on the promenade with an unbeatable view of the ocean.

Looking for a relaxing beach day? Head to Plage des Marinières which is a small sandy beach (no pebbles!) just a short walk from the train station. If experiencing one of the famous French beach clubs is on your bucket list, reserve a sunbed for the day at Marinières Plage. Enjoy the luxury of a designated sunbed, umbrella and towel while servers bring drinks and delicious French cuisine directly to you.
Capilla de San Pedro
Another highlight of Villefranche-sur-Mer includes visiting the 16th-century Saint Elme citadel and gardens. Admire the beautiful churches of Old Town including Capilla de San Pedro which looks straight out of a Wes Anderson film.
